Beckenham Photographic
Society Exhibition 2000.
The Beckenham
Photographic Society is holding its annual exhibition for 2000 at the
Beckenham Public Hall until Saturday the 18th November.
The exhibition officially opened on
Wednesday the 15th, by the Mayor of Bromley, a resident
of Beckenham for 35 years. Although not present, Patricia
Jones of the Sevenoaks Camera Club was the judged for this year, and
awards were presented by David Wood ARPS, DPAGB and the exhibition manager.
The exhibition shows over 200 prints
and slides of the best examples of the photographic activities of the
society's members this year. A theme of "The Creator" was picked this year
for the Dennis Berry Memorial Trophy.
The exhibition also shows some of the BPS's
millennium project photos of Beckenham in 1999 and 2000. Photos range from
local churches, Transport, Pubs, The Spa, Music and Dance, Parks, Schools
and Heritage.
