If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, Beckenham’s Market on the Green is a great way to pass the time. There are plenty of opportunities to taste delicious local produce, purchase beautiful crafts, and experience excellent live entertainment all in one place. The event takes place on Saturday May 16th from 10am to 4pm at Beckenham Green, which is next to St George’s Church. Entry to the event is free.
Throughout the day, there will be 38 stalls to wander round, including some market favourites: All Things Saucy, Dine Thyme pastries, Nip from the Hip gin, and Tiger Spring Tea. There will also be some new stalls, such as Potash Farm cobnuts, The Chocolate Hut, and Yumptious Cakes and tarts.
There’s no chance of going hungry while you’re visiting thanks to the number of lunch and snack options. You can try one of Oink Oink’s hog roasts, some soul food from Colonel Toms, or a gourmet cup of coffee from Cafe Santiago.
While you’re at the market, why not pick up a little treat for yourself or someone special from one of the many craft stalls? The options include Millbrook Pottery, Framerstamp, Tara Jewels, Sandglass Fusion, and Sevenoaks Candle Company.
There will also be a variety of free entertainment for all the family on the stage, with the likes of Clumsy Clown, Pastime Historical Dance, and FUNdamentally Gospel.
