Beckenham residents were left stunned after a violent attack involving a firearm took place right in the heart of our town. The incident happened on April 12th around 8:50pm, when a man was reportedly assaulted by a group of individuals in the Beckenham area.

Police responded swiftly to the scene and recovered a gun nearby, launching an urgent investigation that’s put the quiet Beckenham community on edge. The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening. Thankfully, he has since been discharged.

The suspects fled the scene, and so far, no arrests have been made. Detectives are now urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.

Local residents are reeling, with many concerned about rising violence in what is usually considered one of South London’s more peaceful suburbs. With police presence increased in the area, Beckenham locals are being reassured—but questions remain about how a gun came to be used on their streets.
