We don’t always want to think about what will happen to us in our old age or when we pass away. However, it’s always best to be prepared for these situations. Planning for your future will ensure that all of your financial affairs are taken care of. A firm of solicitors holds regular free talks covering a variety of issues at Orpington Library to help local citizens.
Thomas Dunton Solicitors have been offering free talks to people in the area for four years. The next one takes place on 15th September at 11:00am. It will be held in the meeting room on the ground floor of the library. The session will cover wills, inheritance tax, powers of attorney, and residential home fees. If you wish to attend, you can simply turn up on the day; there is no need to book in advance. The sessions are free and those attending are under no obligation to book services through the company.
At the session, a number of issues will be discussed, including:
- Why you should have a will and the reasons for updating an existing one.
- How a lasting power of attorney can be beneficial.
- Providing protection for your assets and issues of inheritance tax.
- How to plan effectively for long-term care needs.
The next talks after this one will be held on 20th October and 17th November.
