A performance from local musicians and professionals will take place in Beckenham later this month. Conversation Pieces is a performance that uses both words and music in hopes of bringing people together from across the generations.
Conversation Pieces will be held at St Barnabas Church on Perth Road in Beckenham from 1:30pm on Monday 14th September. The concert is free and open to everyone, but it is particularly designed for older people living locally. Complimentary refreshments will be available following the concert.
The performance will feature young people who attend Langley Park Boys School. They will be joined by professional musicians who are part of Everyone Matters, a Bromley-based charity that focuses on using music as a means of bringing communities together regardless of people’s ages. They deliver a range of affordable music projects through schools and community organisations. They work with different age groups, from pre-school children through to older people.
St Barnabas Church is accessible by wheelchairs. However, to reach the toilet facilities, you’ll need to go into the adjacent hall. This is not accessible for wheelchairs, and visitors will also need to negotiate two flights of stairs.
For further details on the concert and to book your place, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 020 8650 3393.
Music is a fantastic way to reach different parts of the community. How do you feel this type of project benefits those in the local area?
