A 14-year-old boy has been charged after allegedly being found with a sword on Beckenham High Street.

The teenager was arrested on Friday 28 June and has since been charged with possession of a bladed article and possession of cannabis, according to the Metropolitan Police.

He has been bailed and is due to appear at Bromley Youth Court on Tuesday 30 July.

The police confirmed that no injuries were reported.
