A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving following a dramatic crash in Beckenham. The incident took place on Thursday 17th April 2025 at the busy junction of Churchfields Road and Village Way, where a vehicle collided with several parked cars.

Fortunately, no one was injured, but the crash caused significant damage and left the street littered with debris.

Witnesses reported a loud bang and described the scene as “shocking,” with multiple vehicles visibly damaged. The driver, a man in his 30s, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol and remains in custody. Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for any witnesses or dashcam footage.
