The Beckenham Academy will begin accepting students from September 2016, providing additional places in the borough. The school will be managed by Education for the 21^st Century (E21C), which made a successful bid last October.

The new school will provide facilities for students between the ages of 11 and 18, and they plan to accept 180 new Year Seven pupils for next September. The Beckenham Academy will initially be based at the Ravensbourne School site on Hayes Lane. However, they are in the process of securing a permanent location. In the meantime, students will be able to access the full range of amenities at the school, such as ICT suites and science labs.

E21C was formed in 2011 and currently manages Ravensbourne School as well as two local primary schools.

Interested pupils and their families can attend an open day on 6^th October at Ravensbourne School. An open week will take place from 19^th to 22^nd October. Further details on admissions can be obtained by emailing admissions@thebeckenhamacademy.info.
