If you want to get in the Christmas spirit, this weekend sees a host of Christmas events taking place across the borough. You can find out more about them on Bromley Council’s events section. Here is a look at a few of the most exciting local celebrations.
Chislehurst Christmas Bonanza
On Saturday 28th November, a Christmas Fair will be held at St Mary’s Hall in Chislehurst from 12:00pm to 5:00pm. This will give you the opportunity to pick up some gifts, sample some delicious Christmas treats, make balloon animals, and listen to some wonderful musical performances. The Ice Queen will visit at 12:30pm and Santa will be there at 3:00pm before starting a parade to turn on the town’s Christmas lights.
St Christopher’s Christmas Market
On Saturday 28th, there will also be a Christmas market at St Christopher’s Hospice in Orpington. This will run from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Entry will be free for children and £1 for adults. There will be lots of stalls to browse, fun family activities, and mince pies and mulled wine to get you in the spirit.
Bromley Christmas Festival
The celebrations continue on Sunday 29th November, when the Christmas Festival takes place in Bromley. There will be entertainment in Market Square from 12:00pm, including carol singing and dance performances. Throughout the day, there will be street entertainment, rides and Father Christmas to see. The Santa Dash begins at 2:00pm, with a Christmas parade starting at 4:45pm before the lights are officially switched on.
