Southeastern have announced proposed changes that will be put in place for a number of their timetables during a series of long-term works programmes. Passengers can now have their say on the changes before the final timetables are launched.
The revised timetables will cater for the closure of platforms one to three at London Bridge from August 2016. This will allow for the rebuilding of the station as part of the Thameslink Programme. During this work, trains from Cannon Street will not stop at the station until the beginning of 2018. However, trains from Charing Cross will begin stopping there once again when platforms seven to nine are reopened.
The changes to the Southeastern timetables will come into effect from August 2016. They will impact on a number of services in the local area, including the London to Bromley North, Orpington and Sevenoaks route.
Have your say
Full details of the proposed changes can be found at http://www.southeasternrailway.co.uk/your-journey/timetables/august-2016. Passengers are invited to give feedback to Southeastern before Friday 26th June by emailing email@example.com.
The train operator will attempt to accommodate feedback when possible to ensure that they continue to provide an efficient service to all their passengers. However, this will not always be achievable when there are issues with capacity or resources.
Will you be affected by these changes to Southeastern services? If this is set to make your journey longer or divert your route, is there any way you feel the works could have been better accommodated?
