After the terrorist attacks in Paris last Friday, the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) at Bromley Police Station has issued a communication to all local businesses on how to ensure they are fully prepared for any incidents.
Following the attacks, the CTU is reviewing all of the available information. They will provide further details to businesses on any new developments as soon as possible. Police forces throughout the UK are currently checking their response mechanism to a major attack and making changes where necessary.
In the aftermath of the latest terrorist attacks, the CTU has advised all businesses, no matter how large or small, to review their responses to incidents. Staff should be fully briefed and trained on these procedures, and continuity plans need to be in place.
The threat level in the UK remains unchanged at Severe. This means that an attack is highly likely.
Further advice for businesses can be found on the Cross-sector Safety and Security Communications (CSSC) website.
The Metropolitan Police Service and the National Coordinator Protect and Prepare will update details regarding this incident through CSSC where necessary.
In an emergency situation, you should call 999. The non-emergency number is 101. To reach the Anti Terrorist Hotline, call 0800 789 321.
How prepared do you feel your business is for a potential attack in the UK? Will you be changing any of your plans in light of the recent attacks?
