The pantomime season is now upon us, and it’s a fantastic way to mark the start of Christmas and celebrate with your family and friends. If you’re looking for a fun and family-friendly pantomime in the local area, St George’s Players will be performing Aladdin in Beckenham.
The performances start tonight at 8:00pm and take place at St George’s Hall on Albemarle Road. Another two performances will take place over the weekend, with a matinee at 3:00pm on Saturday 12th followed by an evening show at 8:00pm. Tickets are priced at £8 for adults and £4 for children. They can be purchased online through the St George’s Parish Church website, by calling 07510 111 224, or in person at the St George’s Church Office or the Beckenham Book Shop.
Aladdin is a tale of a poor boy who finds a magical lamp that brings him many riches. The Beckenham pantomime loosely follows the traditional tale, but it brings in some new twists to bring the story up to date. St George’s Players are a group of amateur performers who put together a pantomime in Beckenham every year.
St George’s Hall can be easily reached by car, foot or public transport. It is close to Beckenham Junction Station, sits on a number of bus routes, and has car parking close by. Supporting your local pantomime is an ideal way to get yourself and your family in the festive spirit.
Are you planning to see a pantomime this year? What is your favourite family festive tradition?
