Next month, the biggest book fair to be held in Kent will open in Orpington. This will be a great opportunity for collectors and those who just enjoy a good book to browse the thousands of titles that will be on display.

The event will take place at Crofton Halls on Crofton Road in Orpington from 10:00am to 3:00pm on Sunday 29^th November. It will bring together dealers from throughout the UK who sell a wide variety of books. The offerings will include second-hand and antiquarian copies, printed ephemera, and maps, which will appeal to readers and collectors of specialist works.

The fair is organised by Steve Marshall, who has staged many book fairs in the past. He once ran a bookshop in Tunbridge Wells, and he now operates Goudhurst Bookshop. Mr Marshall wants to keep the beauty of books alive, which is something that he feels is being lost with the widespread use of smartphones, tablets and e-readers. He understands that some people will prefer the lower cost and convenience of this method over traditional books, but he also wants to appeal to those who enjoy the smell and feel of a real book.
