Beckenham
Place Park
Formally Beckenham Place Park, now Lewisham Country
Park, although locals still call it the former, is a large
park with extensive woodlands forming part of the South
East of London's "Green Chain". The Green Chain walk covers
a 15 mile route through the park from Beckenham to Thamesmead.
Also found within the park is an 18 hole public golf course
with putting green, tennis courts facilities, sports and
recreation grounds.
Beckenham
Place Park is located in Beckenham Hill Road, Beckenham.
On street parking can be found from the Southend Road entrance,
or within the park itself (up by the Manor House). Closest
BR Station are Beckenham Hill and Ravensbourne.

Kelsey
Park
The Showcase Park of the London
Borough of Bromley, Kelsey Park offers peace and quiet to
those who want it. Holding some of the most beautiful landscaped
park areas in the borough. Famous for its beautiful woodland
and of course its lake with its Canada geese and other birdlife.
It caters for old and young with a popular enclosed kids playground,
tennis courts and a putting green. Ideal for relaxing and
watching the day go by. Next to the playground is the park
shop serving up snacks and drinks.
Kelsey
Park is along Kelsey Park Road, 1 minutes walk from Beckenham
High Street. Open from dawn to dusk. On street parking is
available all around Kelsey Park.

Beckenham
Green
In
the highstreet, next to the St. George Church is Beckenham
Green. Not recommended for a days' lazing around, but a popular
setting for wedding photo's especially from St George's. It
is also a place to lazy around during a lunch break. Originally
created after 2 flying bombs devastated the area including
parts of St Georges during the war in July 44.
Parking
for Beckenham Green can be found in St Georges church pay
and display car park.

Croydon
Road Recreation Ground
Croydon Road Recreation Ground is
off from the Croydon Road, next to the Beckenham Hospital.
The park tends to be the most used park for events from fireworks
to funfairs as well as May Day queen parades and other special
events. The park ground boasts scenic views with a bandstand
and landscaped gardens. With a cricket ground, children's
paddling pool and enclosed play area, sweet shop, tennis,
basket ball/netball facilities it has plenty for all. The
shop and toilet facilities are located next to the tennis
courts.
Croydon
Road Recreation Ground is along Croydon Road, or behind Sainsbury's
in the Beckenham Highstreet. Open from dawn to dusk. On street
parking can be found from the Croydon Road side on and around
the Croydon Road. From the Village Way entrances, parking
can be more difficult on Village Way itself, but a multi-storey
car park is available next to the high street on Village Way.

Harvington
Estate
On South Eden Park Road, along from the Wickham Road are
the playing fields of Harvington Estate. Ideal for arranging
cricket, rounders, football or just hanging out on those sunny
days.
Harvington
Estate has its own car parking facilities along the South
Eden Park Road. On street parking is available on the Eden
Park Avenue side of the park .

Crease
Park
Slightly further up Village Way from Croydon Road Recreation
Ground is this small park area. Opened in 1936 it provides a
small childrens playground and place to walk the dog. |

Cator
Park
Part of the Green Chain walk, this is a large park to
cater for all. Originally park of the Cator Estate, it was
opened to the public before the war.

Park is along the Aldermead Road.

South
Norwood country Park
On the Elmers End side of Beckenham,
this country park has a large lake and wildlife to attract
visitors wishing to get away from the London life. A visitors
centre is open on weekends to find out more about the area.
A childrens playground and a pitch and putt area allows for
some more strenuous exercise.
South
Norwood country park has its own car parking facilities along
the Albert Road.
