Two young footballers from Club Langley JFC Jack Belton, 8 and Charlie Notman, 10 were invited to meet Prince Harry. They were accompanied by Andy Birchenall, club secretary to the once in a lifetime trip to Kensington Palace to the ‘Heads Together BBQ’. The trip was organised in support of Heads Together charity Place2Be, which provides in-school support for the emotional wellbeing of youngsters, families, teachers and school staff.
Not only did they meet Harry, but had the pleasure of also meeting other (sporting) royalty including Dame Kelly Holmes, Rio Ferdinand, Jonathan Trott, Iwan Thomas, and Victoria Pendleton.
Place2Be was chosen previously by Club Langley JFC as its charity. On the day Prince Harry, said: “If you can improve your own well-being and everyone else’s around you as well, and get your mind as strong as your body, imagine what we could achieve.”
