The Bromley Business Awards honoured several leading companies throughout the borough at their annual awards ceremony. The event was held on Thursday 15th October. There were winners in eight different categories, along with the winner of the Bromley Business of the Year 2015.
The awards ceremony was attended by more than 200 guests, including Cllr Kim Botting, Bromley’s Mayor. The awards categories featured Commitment to the Community, Green Business, Best Employer, Best Medium-Sized Business, Best Small Business, Excellence Award, Innovation and Growth, and Made in Bromley Rising Star.
Magpie Dance, a charity that provides services for adults who have learning disabilities, took the top Business of the Year award. They have been in existence for 30 years and were honoured for the services they provide to the people of Bromley and their enthusiasm when it comes to improving the lives of the 3,000 adults they work with.
This year, the judges felt that there was an exceptionally high standard of entries, which made deciding on the finalists particularly difficult. Altogether, the awards had more than 170 entries, which were narrowed down to 40 finalists. Shortlisted businesses had to attend a judging day that included interviews with experts from across the business community. The independent judges then made a panel decision on the winners.
The full list of winners and commendations can be found on the awards website.
