Fans of celebrities, wildlife, and art are in for a treat courtesy of a new exhibition that starts in Bromley this week. The RSPB Big Birdhouse Tour is part of a national exhibition that is coming to the intu Bromley shopping centre for four weeks.
The oversized birdboxes have been designed by some of the country’s top celebrities to help support the charity’s work showcasing the wildlife that surrounds us. Some of the celebrities that are involved in the project include swimmer Rebecca Adlington, comedian Vic Reeves, DJ Jo Whiley, and presenter of The One Show, Alex Jones.
The Big Birdhouse Tour is on a 16-month tour of the UK and will be at intu Bromley from 11th August to 6th September. You might think that a shopping centre is a bizarre venue for an art exhibition, but intu Bromley has already held the Elephant Parade, which was also part of a national tour, and received positive reviews.
The RSPB hopes that this will be a fun, informative, and interactive experience for all of the family. The group wants local communities to be more aware of the wildlife that is around them and the vulnerability of some key species. They are working to help preserve and protect important areas of our natural habitat for the future.
