The Friends of Beckenham Place Park hold regular events throughout the year and are always looking for new people to attend. Activities include walks and workdays that members and non-members alike are welcome to attend.
The next scheduled walk takes place on Wednesday 20th May. This will start at the mansion steps in the park and follow a route to Chinbrook Meadows. Walkers will leave at 10am and have the option to return by bus or train from Grove Park or experience the walk back to the park along a different route.
In addition to walks round the local area, the group also hold sensory garden workshops on the second Saturday of each month. The next ones will take place on 9th May and 13th June. The sessions start at 10am and usually last around two hours, but you are welcome to stay for as long as you’re available. There are a variety of tasks that attendees can take part in that are suitable for all abilities. This includes planting, hoeing, weeding, and path maintenance.
All of the events held by the Friends of Beckenham Place Park are free, but donations are appreciated to help the group to continue running.
Further information on the group’s events can be found here.
