The legal aspect of protecting your family assets can be complicated, especially with regard to understanding the relevant laws and terminology. The good news is, if you need help with protecting your family assets, Thomas Dunton Solicitors are holding a free talk covering just that subject.
Wills, inheritance tax, powers of attorney and fees for care homes will be discussed by the Orpington-based solicitors. This is the fifth year it has held free talks, which make it easier for the local community to get legal advice.
The talk will take place at Orpington Library in The Walnuts Centre at 11am on Tuesday 23rd February 2016. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions afterwards.
It will cover a number of areas, including how to update your will to ensure it is tax efficient, ways to protect your estate from long-term care costs, understanding the new inheritance tax proposals and whether power of attorney is more important than a will.
If you are planning to attend there is no need to book in advance, just go along on the day.
Another talk covering the same subjects will be given on Tuesday 23nd March 2016.
