Bromley Council has awarded a new contract to Qdos Entertainment regarding the management of the town’s Churchill Theatre. This secures the theatre’s long-term future, with a 25-year agreement now in place.
Qdos Entertainment will take over the theatre’s management next April. The current programme of events and productions will continue until this date. The theatre is currently operated by ATG, who will remain in charge until the new contract begins.
Qdos Entertainment is one of Europe’s biggest entertainment groups and is the second biggest regional concert hall and theatre operator in the UK. This puts them in an excellent position to continue the theatre’s successful operation, providing a venue that local residents and visitors from further afield will want to go to time and time again.
Qdos also manages the Orchard Theatre in Dartford and G Live in Guildford. The group has become well known for its diverse and vibrant entertainment programmes as well as its excellent standard of hospitality.
The group has a number of interesting plans in the works for the Churchill. This includes using the large open spaces available at the theatre for food and drink venues that offer high quality and great value. This will provide them with the ability to offer some excellent food and entertainment packages to help draw in new and lapsed customers.
Have you visited the Churchill Theatre recently? Do you believe this new contract is good news for the theatre and the local community in general?
