Well done to local boy Matt Terry for an awesome victory at the X-factor last night.

Matt performed in Bromley last week ahead of the final. We hope (in some small way) our tweets helped! Matt himself even returned the tweet!

With tear in eye, he was almost speechless when his name was announced by Dermot last night. Matt went on to perform the winner's single, When Christmas Comes Around, that was written by none other than Ed Sheeran. 

Talking to the press after the show Matt went on to say “I'm quite a normal person anyway so I wouldn't ever want to change. My dream is to be able to become a recording artist so I would love to get straight into a studio and write and just record albums and get my music out there. I've written before and I feel with the influence of this experience I've learnt so much already so I can't wait to just get writing with my new knowledge."
