Energy bills never seem to get any cheaper, and we cannot avoid using energy. However, if you learn how to use energy more wisely, you can actually save money on your bills. A series of events that will take place in Bromley aim to help local residents understand their energy usage and discover how they can cut their bills.
The free workshops and activities will be held in the Ripley Arts Centre on Sundridge Avenue in Bromley. They will take place on three dates in August. The first session is on Saturday 1st August from 10:00am to 1:00pm, with further workshops on 4th and 5th August between 1:00pm and 4:00pm.
Residents who attend will be able to get advice on saving energy, switching tariffs, and reducing their bills from the Energy Doctor. They can also learn about renewable energy and the community energy schemes that are available through Green Energy Streets. Attendees will also have the opportunity to discover how to make their own solar charger and talk to a home energy saving installer.
Other community services will also be represented at the sessions, including bike security marking from the Metropolitan Police, bike maintenance checks from Dr Bike, and London Fire Brigade’s South East Area Community Safety Team.
