Do you want to get fit while raising money for charity? A charity fun run will take place in Chislehurst next month, and all the money raised will be used to help people in this area.
Why Not Run 2016 will be held on Sunday 17th April at Farringtons School. Different events will be held so that all the family can join in.
The first will be the 1 km and 2 km races that will start at 10am and are for children in Year 6 and under. There will also be a 5 km race for the adults and those under 18, which will begin at 11:45am.
Runners who sign up and register in advance can save £5 on entry fees, giving you an extra incentive to make the commitment. The cost for pre-registered runners is £5 for the 1 km and 2 km race and £10 for those entering the 5 km race. If you want to turn up and pay on the day, the 1 km and 2 km races cost £10, while the 5 km race costs £15.
The first 250 entrants who sign up will receive a free race top, and all competitors will get a medal at the end of the race. There will be a trophy for the top three runners in each race, and Rio Ferdinand will be there to hand out the prizes.
The event will raise money for the Ben Daniels Memorial Fund, which offers young people living locally cardiac screening sessions.
