£60k Of YOUR Money Mistakenly Spent On Resurfacing A Road!!

Bromley Council has recently spent more than £60,000 on resurfacing the road… that it doesn't even own!

As per normal, a decision was taken in April, to resurface the unadopted part of Elwill Way in Beckenham.

It was then subsequently admitted at a council meeting by Councillor Colin Smith that it was an error to carry out the repairs costing £60,212.

Cllr Smith, deputy leader and environment portfolio holder, said:

“It was a mistake by the highways team. I have put measures in place to prevent this happening in future.”

Have you come across any other incidents of Bromley Council spending money unnecessarily?
