£1500 for disabled kids charity - Beckenham Rotary
Geoff Moore of The Rotary Club of Beckenham presented a cheque for £1500 to trustee Danny Catchesides of the Freddie Farmer Physiotherapy Centre in Bromley. The centre is for children across SE London and is one of a few centres offering specialised physiotherapy for children with mobility problems
The cheque will go towards the purchase of a LokoHelp electromechanical gait trainer.
The trainer does the work of two physiotherapists, it holds the child's legs in an upright position that enables the children to walk in the correct walking position and pattern. It also helps by building their muscles for walking.
Geoff said “The LokoHelp helps improve physical mobility and also helps with mental focus. We’re delighted that our donation will go towards the purchase of this equipment,”.
