The late ROY GARLAND

Roy was an active member of this Society and also Kent Federation. When he died, his Hong Kong collection was sold at auction in London. However his Gambia collection was retained by the family and stored in the bank.
Abaout 8 years ago, the bank withdrew its facility, and the collection was entrusted to a "friend" who volunteered to look after it.
The family do not know who this "friend" was and unfortunately Mrs Garland cannot remember who he was.
He may have been a friend, possibly a dealer or auctioneer, even a member of this society.
However enquiries among our members have failed to trace anyone who knows anything about the Gambia collection and its whereabouts.
Had it been a reputable dealer or auctioneer, or a member of the society it is reasonable to expect that some form of receipt would have been given. However if this was the case, then no trace of this has be found.
If any one can shed some light on this, will they please contact David Rennie (the Secretary) on 020 8778 7001
